1966
Founded in Romford by William R. Sawtell & Partners in Romford and North Essex
1970s
Established an agency with Ansvar Insurance to start our working relationship
1988
Chris Chapman joined WRS becoming a director of the business a year later
1996
Relocated to Cadman House in Stanway, Colchester, where they reside today
1998
Joined Broker Network, gaining access to exclusive products from the UK’s top providers
2006
Formed a partnership with CinemaForAll to offer their membership insurance services
2007
Became an official insurance supplier for the Reuse Network
2020
Acquired by SEIB Insurance Brokers, becoming part of the Benefact Group
2023
Chris Chapman retires from his role at WRS, and Gungor Baykan becomes Head of Broking & Operations at WRS in 2024
2024
Became an official insurance partner of the Community Transport Association
