SEIB have acquired Colchester based insurance intermediary, WRS Insurance Brokers. We're renowned for our insurance of niche markets and are welcoming the expansion of our business. Under the acquisition, WRS Insurance Brokers will continue operating from their Colchester office under the management of their former director, Chris Chapman. All staff will be retained.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Barry Fehler said: “I am delighted that we have been able to purchase WRS Insurance Brokers. The business has been known to us for some time and we see it as a great fit for SEIB.”

With a 98% customer satisfaction score, our customer service is second to none. We have over 50 years experience and understand our customers’ needs. We offer a wide range of practical and well thought out policies that meet our customers ever evolving requirements.

WRS specialises in the social welfare sector alongside providing business and property insurance, all from an ethical standpoint. The company provides tailor-made insurance cover for charities, churches and care and community groups. This socially responsible approach from WRS fits well with our ethos.

WRS Insurance Brokers’ Director, Chris Chapman said: “I see joining with SEIB as a positive move for the clients and employees of WRS Insurance Brokers as both organisations hold similar ethical and traditional values. This will assist WRS in its further growth and business developments in the years ahead whilst continuing to offer high level of service from the Colchester office”

SEIB works closely with the charitable sector and has many years experience insuring charities and good causes. Ultimately owned by a charity ourself, we're committed to ensuring that not-for-profit organisations continue to be a central focus of the business.

We only place business with onshore, financially rated ‘A’ insurers. We have a longstanding commitment to the equestrian, funeral, specialist motor and property sectors.  We currently insure the bulk of large equestrian organisations, charities and groups within the industry.
